HERMANA FELICITA!! |
HERMANA FELICITA Y SU FAMILIA!! |
This was another great week. Summer is finally upon us, and the sun is HOT. I think with el NiƱo (the boy as my companion and I call it), the weather is even more extreme. There are like 5 trees in our area, so needless to say we are both getting darker. Yes, we are flying through bottles of sunscreen and are drinking lots of lots of water. Nevertheless the work continues!
This week we were able to have the baptism of our investigator Felicita. She has been on and off with her health the last couple weeks. And though she didnt feel that well the day of her baptism, she mustered all her strength and made it. It was one of the happiest moments Ive had in the mission so far, to be able to see someone who has had so many trials finally reach baptism. The service was beautiful, with her children (many whom are members) sharing talks and a special musical numbers that brought almost everyone to tears ( the hymn was the favorite of Felicitas husband who passed away 2 years ago). Then Felcita was able to bear the sweetest testimony. It was an unforgettable day.
This week we were also able to find Luisa and Jose, mother and son whom had come to mind to a member, Rosio, who was accompanying us. All of our lesson and backup plans had fallen through and she said if it was alright if she could take us to visit some family members of a less active member. They are both so nice, receptive, and hilarious aswell. They also accepted our invitation to read, pray and attend church with us. My companion and I are both excited to see them begin to witness many of the blessings of the gospel.
