ARMONIA Y MILAGROS!!!!

BUENAS Amigos and Friends!

FOTO ARTISTICA PARA FEDE

This week was hot, and yet the work continued. And we worked harder than ever. Where should I start with all the miracles we saw this week? This week I was able to witness the power of the book of mormon. Weve been teaching Marcos, whose accepted a baptismal date and is progressing alot. Hes had problems with his eyes lately so his daughter (who previously had told us she wasnt interetsed) has been helping him read the chapters we leave him in the book of mormon. On friday we went to visit him and his daughter came in and said that from reading the book of mormon, she knew that what we were teaching was good and true, and she said she wanted to hear us. I Know without a doubt that the book of mormon is the key of our religion and that the spirit testifies through every word. This week we were also to see the impact of commiting people with authority and connecting them with members as 6 of  our investigators were able to make it to church on sunday. I know the Lord is helping us in every moment to help speed up the work in this area hes trusted us with.

This week we also had the special opportunity to have a meeting with Elder Robbins of the presidency of the 70. It was a great meeting and I learned alot from him, but more from the spirit. I also had an amazing experience there, as the CCM, lima east and lima central were there aswell. I was able to meet one of the recent converts I helped go to the temple when I was in Ayacucho. I still remember in July when she told us that she had started working on her papers. And on Thursday I saw her, Hermana Tenorio, with her nametag on! It made me so happy and she was so happy to see me too! Its crazy how fast time flies by and how many amazing people Ive been able to meet so far.

This week our pensionista made lemon cream pie, and it was so good. Peruvian food in general is amazing, but Hna Milagros´s pie is out of this world.

DESPUES DE 1 MES LLEGO SU PAQUETE

ANyways all else is going well, working hard, and avoiding the sunburn.

Hola familia and friends.

DESDE LA AZOTEA!!!

Sorry to keep this brief this week.

But it was a great (yet very very hot and sunny) week here in Armonia. We were able ot go out and work hard and are slowly getting to see some of the fruits of our labors. This week we were able to find 3 new families to teach thorugh less active members. They are all really great and we cant wait to help them work towards baptism. This week we were able to tsee alot of progress in the less active members were working with asweel, a bunch of them are reading alot of the book of mormon and came to church on sunday.

Sorry once again for writing so little. But most importantly FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS MAMA!!!

ARMONIA WEEK 1

Saludos familia and friends!

HERMANAS TURLEY Y MOSTERT

Let me start by saying how excited I am to be here in Armonia. I think everyday I just get more excited. I love it here. Theres definitly alot of work to do and I begin to see how all my past areas have helped me to learn how to help this new area aswell. The ward is great, they are all a little strange but all kind people. Theres been a bit of difficulty getting the ward council together but weve made a plan to try to commit everyone to come by visiting the liders throoughout the week. Anyways this week was a new adventure for me, and Im trying to stay patient trying to learn the area because it deifitnitly is HUGE. But my companions helping me alot and the members are great a supportive as well. This week we were able to find Martin, whose a little strange but understands the gospel super well, we also found Dayanar, who has some cousins who are members and shes really cute with her two little twins.

As I said, our ward is the funniest, strangest group of people ever, I love them so much. A funny experience that happened this sunday was that this hermana gave a talk and them half way through asked everyone to look under the pews. We all looked and there was candy tapped to the pews. Yes, probably my favorite talk ever. haha

This week for service we took off, and then put on a roof of a house. It was hard work but loads of fun to. So a few weeks ago I learned how to build a house out of brick and now I now how to build an entire house because I know how to put the roof on!! YESSSSS

Anyways all is well here in Armonia just walking alot, seeing miracles, and working hard...and speaking english with my comp. :)

SALUDOS DESDE ...........SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!!!!

EN EL PARQUE ECOLOGICO DE SURCO
Buenas tardes amigos and family!

The big news this week was I had cambios to...San Juan de Miraflores and Im in the area of Armonia.

First of all let me say how greatful I am for the opportunity I had last cambio to train. I think it really tried my strength and faith, but helped me grow as a missionary and as a person in general aswell.  I now have the great opporutnity to work with Hermana Turley in Armonia, San Juan.  SHe is a very hard worker and I am eager to learn from her dilligence and experience. She fininishes this transfer and its crazy cause im here first gringa (well half) companion. We get alot of weird looks in the street because were both lighter skined and taller than everyone, but hey it makes it easier to contact because everyone is eager to talk with las norte americanas.

Anyways I was able to learn alot in my time in Bolognesi. To be completly honest, when I left Ayacucho I never thought I would like any part of Lima, but Bolognesi proved me wrong. The members are the best and I have learned to love so many people there. I will truly miss alot of them. The happiest news though I recieved as I was saying goodbye to all the members was that our family of recent converts, Familia Marcos is getting sealed on the 31st of March!! I am beyond happy to know that very, very soon they will be an eternal family.

Anyways excited to work hard!

Febrero means HOT in Lima :

CARGANDO LADRILLOS
AYUDANDO A LA FAMILIA GRANADOS
Buenos Dias Familia and Friends,

This week went by very quickly and very smoothly. I was able to get to know my companion a little bit better and we were both able to support and help each other improve in different aspects of missionary life. We were also able to go out and search, search, search. Which we were able to see many miracles and blessings. In particular one night, when all our backup plans we decided to look for a less active brother that a member had given us the refferal of. We finally found the house, and while there was no doorbell, we had to yell abit to see if Alonso was home. Out of one of the windows popped the head of a woman in her late 30s who told us that he wasnt home. We started asking her her name and contacting here and found out that her mother lived in the US and was a member. We came back 2 days later and taught her, Sara and her son! They were both very interested in the book of mormon, and they are both so kind and receptive. Now we just have to find Saras husband, who wasnt home that time. We wont stop till we get this cute little family to the temple!

Anyways we were also able to have a bitter sweet moment this Sunday, when we were able to see Hno Luis, the brother we helped reactivate a little over a month ago, recieve a calling! Also he also got up and bore his testimony! Its little moments like that when I can really see how the gospel can cause great changes of hearts.
This I had a funny experience, carrying bricks for 2 hours. We went to a members home to lend service and my companion and I made an assembly line. It reminded me of old factories in the U.S. So then I proceeded to explain all the history of the Industrial revolution and factory work reform history of the US to my companion, who was surprisingly very interested. But the funniest thing was that there were some people outside fixing a fridge and they came in and sat down and listen to my historical schpele. Haha it was actually great.
Well that was the week in a nuttshell. Working hard in the heat and relying on the spirit in every moment.
SALUDOS! HERMANA MOSTERT

SALUDOS!!!!!!

HERMANAS LINARES Y MOSTERT  EN EL TEMPLO EN LIMA.

Hola familia and friends!

Sorry to make this brief, but the internet were at is pretty bad and the connection has been slow...

But anyways this was a crazy week. To put in simple terms it was hot! We had to drink alot of water because we were getting pounded by the sun. My companion had a few health problems becuase of it which made our proslyiting week a bit shorter. BUt all is well now! and we are both working hard in the vineyard of the lord!

This weeek we had the great opportunity to go to the temple. It is such a blessing to have the temple near. The experience has helped me see the importance of making the temp´le the center of my objective as a missionary.

Anyways, sorry mom for the short letter.
